FINAL EXAM

Dear All

Here is the content you need to revise for the exam:

• The first exercise you have to choose the correct word and this covers all the tenses studied throughout the semester and also quantifiers (Unit 6).
• Question forms: You will have to put mixed up words in the correct order to form questions
• Short questions: Asking for more information page 36 (Q3)
• Present Perfect Simple and Continuous: Unit 2
• Vocabulary: make & do Unit 2
• Compound Words: Unit 1
• Future Forms: Unit 5
• Numbers: Unit 6 page 61
• Vocabulary: put & take Unit 5
• Narrative tenses: Unit 3
• Reading comprehension

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries. I was wrong about the weighting for the exam. The speaking exam represents 50% of the final exam total and the written part 50%.

Speaking Test

The speaking test which will take place Tuesday 14th will involve a two-way discussion between you and a partner. While this is talking place you will also have to complete the final writing for the semester.

The topics for discussion relate to Units 1 to 6 that we have studied this semester.

Here is a brief outline of the kinds of topics you will be discussing:

Then we are going to do an activity from the book. You will be put into two groups to do a listening activity.
